DJ Dex Profile

Life as a DJ began in 1986 aged 15 years when DJ Dex was given the opportunity to DJ at the Brunel Rooms in Swindon, Wiltshire, alongside Sandy Martin (Radio One) who taught Dex the art of reading and performing in front of a large crowd.

DJ Dex found his feet in the House club scene in 1988 and then finding residency at many rave in 1990 like Oddesy, Fantazia, playing alongside some of the biggest names in the scene like Carl Cox, Slipmatt, Ratpack, Mickey Finn and Sasha.htm">Sasha, to name just a few.   Dex soon became a firm favourite among free party goers in the Oxfordshire / Wiltshire countryside week in and week out.  His partner in crime was MC Daddy Rober.

After seven years (1993) time took its toll on Dex and seeing one of his friends near to losing his life due to an overdose at a free party he stopped DJing.  Grasped from the grave.

In January 2002 Dex was asked to play an old School reunion part for Fruit Club at the Brunel Rooms,  Dex accepted the challenge, despite not touching the decks for over 9 years.   Dex held his own in true Rave fashion playing to 300 ravers.

The return of an old school great was destined to happen and it did!
