MC Joe Peng - Brief Profile

I started in 1991, MCing at Ecstatic in Bristol, a night influenced by Johnny Nation. The first DJ I worked with was Jumping Jack Frost: my favourite DJ of all time. My success soon led me to perform at major events of that era...Perception, Fantazia, Dreamscape...

I've had the pleasure of working alongside trend setting DJs like Kenny Ken, Sy, Slipmatt, Seduction, Easy Groove, Carl Cox and Sasha. I've travelled the country and Europe doing things my way..

Having formed the band, Laidblak, with DJ Bunjy and recently signed to Tricky's Brownpunk label, I still find myself being drawn to the continued energy of the rave scene. Favourite raves of all time has to be Universe at Tribal Gathering and Fantazia at Donington Park.

This goes out to the white, the black, the slim , the fat. Don't worry bout that. Just get up and make your body rock. Non stop. Why not? To you, to me, to god knows who, cause god loves me and god loves you. Peace.

Feelings on mcs- TOO MANY BAD ONES making it hard for the good ones. We are supposed to enhance the music not fight against it.

What I do outside the music- I'm a learning mentor in my old primary school trying to give something back. I'm also a local football legend.
