MC Rizla Dizla RizlaDizla from Essex was only raving for a short time before he got a taste for the mic.n After getting into hardcore and raving at the late age of 20, it was only a year and a half later before he was booked for his first event.
Since earning his first booking in Bristol back in 2001, Rizla has worked extremely hard, travelling all over the country earning a name for himself. After a little break in 2004/2005, Rizla returned to the scene to quickly establish himself as a London crowd favourite and one of the best hardcore MCs in South East England.
Known for his fun, catchy rhymes, cheeky characteristics and energetic crowd hyping abilities, Rizla is a performer that sticks out at each and every night he performs at.
BackgroundI am from a town called Harlow in Essex. I got into the rave scene quite late in my life at 20 years of age. My first rave was a near the end of Sep at Bagley Studios. After about 6 months of raving I started to DJ and not long after that my decks broke so picked up the mic.
My first booking in late 2001 called On A Mission in Bristol. This was an event by Deejaybee who also booked MCs Fugitive and Wotsee.
My name first started to get noticed with my Elation residency in London, and my time spent with Sketchy & Compulsion around from 2002 to 2003.
In 2004 I took a break from the scene to work more on my magic, a passion I have had since the age of 6. I started taking mc bookings in late 2005 and started working as a magician in clubs and bars in London. The scene had got a lot bigger on my return and there were many new faces and events around. Now, living in London I concentrated on building my name up again in the capital. MC StyleI have taken influence from MCs such as Sharkey, Ethos, Whizkid and fellow Essex Boy, Livelee. My MC style is an exaggerated reflection on my personality. I often joke around on the mic and can be quite cheeky. I am not just an MC who will spit out a load of lyrics all over a set. On most occasions I feel less is more. I like to get quite energetic on stage and use my body langue just as much as my vocal chords. I have always experimented with vocal scratching and beat boxing and like to throw this into my sets. Although I am mostly known as an MC, I see myself as an entertainer. Events played atFuture Dance, Elation, Hardcore Heaven, Fruit Club, Vibalite, Dreamscape, Raindance, Freeformation, Hardcore Euphoria, Helter Skelter, Hardcore Xpression, Delirium, Tasty, Planet Hardcore, Absolute Hardcore, Vibealite, Hardcore Revolution, Moondance, Total Bedlam, Happy Nation, Totally Hardcore, History Of Hardcore, Moondance, Vibealive, Hyperbolic, Cruze In, Forever Hardcore, Polisexual, Energy Rush, Epidemik Future Hardcore, and many more. "IMO, this guy stands head and shoulders above the big names. His attitude, energy and "freshness" is just gob-smacking! He's one of the few mc's that I can't ever see me getting bored of as he knows how to read and react to the crowd and gets them HEAVING! I've seen him a few times now and he just tore the place apart effortlessly - he was my mc on Saturday and practically sent the crowd through the roof!"

“Have to agree, sean is a good MC, best down here in the south east. What I like about sean is his passion and doing things off his own back. Worked on a radio show few years back on FM dial and was a bloody pleasure working with him as well as playing out and having a decent MC, MC for me.”

“I wonder what happened to a lot of the faces who were about around that time. It's interesting to see who's stuck around for better for worse, who's aspiring, who's contributing, who's doing really well, and who seemingly vanished off the face of the Earth. Well done to Rizzle for being one of the hangers-on, still passionate and still making an impression (and I mean that in the nicest way!). Also one of the few MCs who communicates properly with the DJ”
