Inspired, Danny ventured out to the great Ibizan clubs of the 80's where he discovered the intoxicating, Balearic sound of the sunny, Spanish island and brought it back to the UK. Danny Rampling and his soon-to-be-wife Jenni launched the 'Shoom' club in 1987 and introduced this innovative feel to a new generation of clubbers. Taking their inspiration from 'Shoom', fellow club-runners soon followed suit and successful clubs were appearing all over the UK. Danny, who joined Radio 1 in November 1994 from Kiss FM, is hailed as one of the world's hottest dance DJs but is humble of his achievements and the respect he commands, "I just go out there and play good music and that's it.
