Fantazia Clash of the Titans - 29/09/07 - Review 1

The following is a review of the event by forum member Hangercrew:

Set off From sunny Girvan at 5 o’clock with Vertical Drops forum set pounding in the car, arrivied at Braehead just on half 6. walked round to the queue to find it was pretty big already. Hooked up with The Zipster and Miss Morph in the queue and in we went nearly and hour and a half later Well that was after ma mate got a new best pal in sammy the sniffer dog but all was cool and after meeting up with a few other forum crew headed off in to the main arena to catch the 2nd half of Bassy G. Superb tunes bangin out in there although I thought it would have been a bit busier in there for Guy but I guess the problems with the queues didn’t help that.

Headed over to the JD arena straight after Bassy G and caught the 2nd half of Mikey B. Another quality set there. Don’t think I’ve actually seen Mikey B Before just remember listening to his Big Bang set constantly as a young un. Stayed in the JD arena for my set of the night, PRODUCER & SCORPIO. Feckin immense guys. The whole place was rockin. Managed to catch up with some more of the forum crew in there Hasmonster finally got to meet u mate after 3 attempts. Also Kyle, Bass Boy I think and Elaine too. Headed towards the back of the arena for the 2nd meet at ten but there wasn’t much of a show for that. Good to meet u Lady J & fella, Quazer and Curley and the others that did show. The speakers at the back of the JD arena were mental. On numerous occasions throughout the night when some Poundin mad gabba was rippin out them I litteraly went dizzy with the pressure in My ears

Headed back in to the main arena after Producer and Scorpio to catch Charly and Theo. On route bumpin in to some more of the forum crew. Thought Charly and Theo were pretty bangin although slightly cheesy every now and again. Stayed in the main arena for Most of Marc Smith too. Another quality set of pounding bouncy Tunes.

Headed back to the JD arena at 1 to catch Smurf. Another crackin set but by 2 the OAP legs were giving up and the zimmer was maybe required. After smurf and a wee Chill spent the rest of the night in the Main arena(well apart form a wee half hour chillin out in the house room….Aye me in the house room . ) TRS were on the ball once again in the main arena, Scott Brown too the best set ive heard him play at a Fantazia by
droppin the cheesy shite and Thought Mallorca was quality too and just wished Id had the legs to bounce to his set. All of a sudden 4am was upon us and time to head.

Made for the car and cracked out the sleeping bag and chilled out for a few hours listening to ma mate telling me about these police cars and Dogs about the car park that weren’t there. Top entertainment. Then back home to suffer for the next couple of days.

Have to say Charlie Fantazia another Belter of a night. The best 1 yet in my opinion both musically and The crowd. I think I would actually rate that on level par as the best rave ive been at with the Rez bangin bunny Show. Respect to all the forum peeps I met always makes the night that bit more special with all you nutters. Roll on the next 1.(or Fantasyland if I can make it)

PS – If the young lass that stole ma beany hat in the main arena and ran off with it reads this shame on u ma baldy napper was freezing for the rest of the night. U should have respect for us old foggies
