Fantazia Clash of the Titans - 29/09/07 - Review 3

Still don't feel up to this but here it goes

After stayin up to hear the TRS interview etc. that Vicki kindly done I forced myself to sleep at the back of 2am knowing i would need all my energy for the following day. Got up quite early and popped on the forum for a last bit of banter n the "goodbye safe journey, see u there" speeches.

Got a text askin if I wanted to head into town early for a couple but by the time I got sorted n fed I was runnin a bit late.  Costume in the bag ( no way I was wearin that on the bus ) n off I went.

When I arrived at the bus station one of my m8s were standin there already due to the fact the pub was full of pervy old men, her words not mine, so decided stuff it I'll get pissed when I get there.

Arrived early and the queue was bouncin already, god knows how it felt to all the ppl who got crushed there. Went to the box office n got sorted with wristband n drinks tokens and papped back outside the security gate until start time. Caught up with another mate who arrived a bit later just in time for lettin us through.

Went into the line and were held up because there was no female CQ to search the ladies which resulted in the big queue gettin through first. Gutted

Next came the dreaded sniffer dogs, even tho I had nothing I still get nervous with these and you guessed it, the wee fker sits down beside me! DAMN!

Got literally manhandled into the tent where the policeman and woman were rabbiting on about how I would get thrown out if they found anything.

Wasn't worried about that due to the fact i was clean but was a bit nervous in case the glove came out anyway 5 mins later n they took my details n let me through to a round of applause hehe.

On went the costumes and into the main arena for Donovan smiths set which wasn't too bad. Saw sweets, Katey who threw abuse at me for ruining their photo and jams outside.
Then decided stuff it I'm in party mood and attempted a handstand in the middle of the floor. Felt myself wabbling so came back up from it to plough right into the guy standin next to me

Enough fancy moves from the gee man for the rest of the night.

A few drinks n bounces later n met Gmeister outside and decides to head for the forum meet. Went up and the first one I think I spotted was Zips. how can u miss a hairdo like that . Saw Elaine next who proceeded to pummel me with a mega glowstick on the head, cheers btw.

Also met the lone raver, vickz, glen, claire, kerry, wee amy, jambo n gilly aswell im sure n smurf. Managed to get a quick chat to Charlie, honour meeting u!  Hehe and went around listening to the interviews.

After a few dodgy pics with some of the crew n Korrupt who had just came up the stair it was off downstairs for some more shape cutting.

Went to the bar, again tryin to use up the 12 tokens I bought at the start then back into the main arena where I seen Kyle and Hashmonster bouncin about. Squeezed through to the front n was spotted by Amy again who musta saw the bright red suit was offered a lolly which was so cruelly taken away from me want one on sat btw!

Next it was off to catch the producers set which was a blinder although couldn't find any of the forum crew apart from Claire n Kerry then went back in to catch Lownoise n Theo who were yet again superb onstage Mon the cheese!!

Had another quick bounce with Zippy n co up the top before we realised oops there's a pal missin n off we set to find her.

Eventually all got together n headed back in through a massive squeeze to catch Marc Smith who I thought was superb followed by Dream Frequency who were great as well although I have no compliments for the male dancers who looked a bit stiff.

Next on was Mr Brown who in his defence played a much better set than I have heard recently which went down well with the crowd.

After Broony left the stage I knew who was on next and threw myself right in front of the stage barriers for TRS who, scuse the French, fuckin rocked!

Got a big shout out from Nic Nytro (cheers nic) and was caught on camera Elle ( Andy C's missus ) then as soon as they were off got out for some well needed fresh air. Ended up meeting hundreds of random n getting chatted up by a girl who admitted she was 16 oops.

The rest is a bit hazy after that but I assume I got back home in the one piece but was kept awake for hours by the ringing in my ears.

All in all I would give it an 8 or 9 out of 10, not sure if it topped Showtime yet.
Still in pain just now after spraining the knee doin the handstands at the start but the adrenaline took over.

Ladies looked fantastic and thought there was alot less trouble than last time with the males.   Only let down was the lack of some quality Old Skool anthems from the main arena but the quality of hardcore made up for it!
