Fantazia - Showtime - 27/01/07 - Review 6 by DJ Keaty

Literally have spent an hour writing up a review of the night and had only got half way through, with lots more stories to tell.......but disaster struck and accidentally clicked out of it and lost it all, so I'm now going to have to do a quick run down.

Early start and get to Glasgow. Check in to the hotel and go to sleep for a few hours, wake up have a shower and head down to the bar with Robbie for a few beers. Bump in to Vibes and Livelee and allenthechef. Get on the beers for a few hours and realise that I've still got to play a set. Miss oldskool, Lets ave it, his brother and the lovely Ailena , turn up.

Have a few more drinks then decide to head down to the venue. Start up the house room with a selection of classics which include Gat decor, Playing with knives, Royal House - Can you party, and some newer stuff towards the end.

Have a chat to Stu Allen after his set then have to bumble upto the house room for the forum meet. Again this was wicked bumping to faces new and old and seeing the forum community grow.

See and have a boogie to Altern8. Oh my god, best set of the night totally back to the old days. Get some party supplies and then get down to some serious partying!!!!! Robbie snogs some random girl, catch the Vibes and Livelee show who are blasting it the HTID tent!! get back to the main arena to see the end of Mallorca Lee and the Lasers in full effect. Such a difference these make to the arena so well done to Fantazia for sorting this out. Start buzzing so take a bit of a time out and watch Lenny Dee and Fankie. Another highlight was seeing Robbie and Scratch Master Techno doing an Mc double act!!   Just bouncing off each other and an absolute wonder to listen too. By this time things get a bit messy and everything rolls into one another, keep bumping into familiar faces even Charlie' Missis. Good to see you enjoying yourself!! It seems that before its begun, its over. 4am is well too early to finish but hey even if it finished at 6 it would still be too early....lol.

Catch the Hotel bus back to the hotel and sit down for a few beers with Vibes and his Missis, allenthe chef, Miss Oldskool, Lets'av it, his brother and the wonderful Ailena. Robbie pops down with some bird in tow. Now this was really funny. Being off the nut, Vibes' missis decided to pick up a cup which has been set up for breakky.

The Night receptionist throws a fooking wobbly so the tone is set that everything we do we need to try and get him to rise. She decides to pick up the salt and pepper pots and hide them. He catches her and once again he goes mad!!!!! Vibes goes and apologies but he ain't having it and threatens to call old bill. What a C**t! Anyway back at the table and Ailena mentions that she ain't feeling well. Being the consummate gentleman I offer that she can kip down on the sofa bed, to which she agrees. I tell her I'm off to bed and that Ill get her a key so she can come in when she's ready. I ask THE receptionist for a 2nd key, "no the room is for one".

Anyways We go I up and i give her my key. I fall asleep. Get woken by someone scrambling next to me.  Ummmmmm. Snuggle up and go to sleep. Now I know I was loved up on the MDMA, but it makes so much difference to the start of a come down when you are snuggled up to some one. B4 anyone gets the wrong idea nothing happened!!!! Who am I..... Robbie Dee.....PMSL. Get woken up by SMT wanting to say good bye. Top fella. get back to sleep, 9am phone rings, Miss oldskool, telling Ailena to get up. Put the phone down, go back to sleep. Wake up 11 by Lets av it knocking on the door, get dressed and go down for breakfast, well orange juice.

Vibes is already on the Newquay Brown, Sharkey is tucking into a full fry up......ohhhhhh how could you? Vibes' missis on the JD and Coke and me on the orange juice. Its only 11.30. N-Joi pop down have a quick drink and soon after Twista and Dione.

Its not long b4 everyone is heading off to the airport. Hope you got back to Bournemouth ok, MOS, LAT and Ailena.

Anyways catch the plane back home, full asleep and wake up in Bristol. Drop Robbie off at the station and head home for cup of tea, bed and sweet memories of a fantastic weekend!!!!!!!

Shout out to the whole crew, Charlie Fantazia, Kate, Bex, Sweets, Errol, Dawson, Zippy, Kateybaby, Miss oldskool, Lets av it, Robbie IE, allenthechef, mad elaine(Sorry for trying to throw your pony off the balconey) and everyone else who I bumped in to. And a big shout to Ailena for making that horrible, Comedown sleep bearable...........
