Rave & Acid House Dance Music GenresAcid House started in the late 80's with music from the USA, it was quickly adopted in the UK and made home grown with local producer. As it evolved it developed into a range of different styles dictated by both the sounds, beats per minute (BPM), vocals and for marketing purposes. *indicates sub genre - eventually will be given its own page. Dance music has split again and again and we hope to include information on at least some of those genres below. Our diagram show some of those splits as dance music divides and then divides again fracturing a once unified scene...... is this for the better?
