An enormous queue was there when we arrived, the word of Reality had obviously spread. Once inside and after a quick search by the friendly security, it was time to familiarise myself with the venue. Up a flight of stairs into a well set out venue, carpeted in area’s, a bar either end of the Realm and the DJ Box over looking the entire downstairs. To the right a raised dancefloor, which, when not used for PA’s can be used by us punters, as well as the various areas there was plenty of room to groove away compensating for the quite small dancefloor.

Up a huge flight of stairs to “Wonderland” - tonight playing host to a variety of music, techno, happy hardcore, and drum n bass. This is the room to sit down and chill out in, plenty of seats at the back of the room, a couple of sofa’s and a bar. Phil Foster and DJ Sten started the night in here playing a back to back set of outstanding Happy Hardcore.

Back downstairs for me, missed DJ Ell, but came in to the sounds of DJ Sy who really got the opening night off to a tremendous start, tunes galore and his trademark scratching make a brilliant set.

Up next co-promoter DJ Demand proving his talents to the max with a fantastic bouncy techno set that had the crowd going bonkers!! Half way through I popped upstairs to the sounds of the drum and the bass with MC/DJ Connie and his Planet Rock crew. After Kinetic was closed he was offered the MC residency @ Reality as well as doing a few guest DJ Spots - so alongside Brisk and Demand we certainly felt at home! Delivering an excellent set the dancefloor was packed with people well and truly havin it!!

Up next, Force & Styles on a back to back mission with MC Junior - changing the pace of the music, hardcore at it’s happiest, but still keeping the dancefloor moving and grooving.

Back Downstairs again and part 2 of the Reality partnership - DJ Brisk was gracing the decks for a 90 minute onslaught for the Reality massive, playing with typical “Brisk” style, hard, fast with outstanding mixing abilities accompanied by MC Connie, it was one of the most popular sets of the night, and I quote Connie “I really enjoyed that set with Brisk - it was brilliant - could you tell?!!” We certainly could mate!!

Slipmatt (a little late) came next, slowed things down a little to relieve everyone that Brisk exhausted, playing a mixture of old and new tunes - as always playing an mixture of old and new tunes - as always playing an outstanding set and when it finally came to the last tune - the entire club waited with baited breath, just dying for that tune......... and YES!! On a Ragga Tip - guaranteed to rock any dancefloor every single time!!

To finish the night was a live PA from Force & Styles with live vocals from the extremely talented Jenna and Junior who has one of the most fantastic voices that I have ever heard. These two DJ’s have really made a name for themselves in the past year, having produced so many outstanding tunes and anthems that they deserve maximum respect. Unfortunately the duty of handing out flyers had arisen and I left the PA early but if it was anything like the one they did at the last United Dance, it would have been nothing short of spectacular!

When you’ve been a regular of a club for such a long time (to the point where it’s like your second home) and also one as highly regarded as Club Kinetic was by clubbers and DJ’s alike, you find yourself thinking - will any other club ever match up to it - will I always we comparing the two - What can I say - REALITY was fantastic, full of atmosphere, dancing, catching up with old faces, meeting new ones, everyone having a great time, determined in making this club as highly successful as it’s local predecessor.
