Some bright spark had the idea of pinning a board to the entrance to the main hall so we could tell who was on when. Best on the night would have to be than man Mickey Finn (again). If you stood still and listen to what he was doing you could hear why. On at 6am, last track well after 8.15am. Although originally I intended an early bedtime, he offered to fill in for Ellis Dee who hadn't managed to get there - same coach company as the security? To say he was sorely missed was an understatement, he had been been put down for the final hour and as it got closer and closer to 7am the crowd were worked to boiling point. There I was, ripping for a piss, not daring to head off for fear of missing somethin. I don't know. Thanks to Mickey Finn for keeping us going. "If you go down to the chill-out today, be sure of a big surprise..." Cute. I had seen on the flyer some thing about a meditation zone, but didn't expect the Kirshnna's that were there, at that time of the morning I messing my head up quite enough on my own without any help from anyone else, thank you. Sure the toe-bells and jos sticks were nice, but the rest most of use didn't need. What next, The National Front? I left wide-eyed and supposedly enlightened, holding a free book which I could hardly refuse seeing as how it only cost me 50p. I had to listen to what one of them had to say and politely declined his invitation to join him to "dance from my soul", deciding to do it back in the main hanger. All this and I only wanted a poxy cup of tea. The atmosphere was such that people were dancing to ANYTHING. Anthem twax, happy chewn, dark drum 'n' bass, there were even some dancing to an advert for a future event....Good to see some real dancers allowed up on stage. Cheers Paul. Unrehearsed and unplanned but 'avin it large rush the Bear and I would like to thank all who went for making it a fun night. Camber Cru - thanks to you x Marc C Jeffrey World Dance - Replies.....The WDO would like to apologies to anyone involved in the excessive queuing for the event at the Lydd Airport on 31/07/93. This was due to the breakdown of the security coach just outside London and therefore Shepway district council and the Kent County Constabulary not allowing the site to open until their arrival. Once again we would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
