Exodus - Illegal Rave Event Review

Having just past me driving test, I am getting phone call after phone call "you now Exodus is on tonight, have you past your test, are you going and can I get a lift". So after letting a few people down I get a car full of my best raving mates.

As I had been to Exodus before I was happy I could find the Woodside meeting point ok. So come 10o'clock we left for Dunstable which only took us 30mins to get to and find the meeting point, as we pulled round the corner of the industrial estate we could see people with fluorescent yellow jackets with dogs, strait away my hart starts racing shit the police are here all ready but as we got closer we see there not the police but Exodus Freedom Fighters they pull us over and point us indirection of the convoy.

We were only sat at the back of the convoy for 20mins or so when an ex-army land rover with a flashing red light flys past to the front of the convoy. Which gets us buzzing, every one who were out of there cars start running to there cars and starting engines and slowly all the cars start driving of. Here we go wack the tunes up on the stereo and keep nice and tight to the car in front, we leave the industrial estate and start driving through Dunstable, what a wicked sight hundreds of cars bumper to bumper driving through the town. We could see people stood on the path watching in amaze "god now what, they must have thought". Then we could see the police driving past the convoy trying to break up the convoy, every time we came traffic lights i just drove strait through them whether they were green or red so I didn't break up the convoy.

We got out of the town ok and in to the country side were the convoy led in to a field as we went through the gate there were Freedom Fighters stood there directing us down the field were there are all ready a lot of cars parked up we found a space and parked up.

A lot of people wondering about not really knowing where they were going half of them asking if we wonted drugs and the other half looking for drugs. We were all ready sorted, as we see a regular dealer back home.

The field we were in sloped down a hill so with cans of bear bottles of water and other rave paraphernalia we walked to the end of the field were we had to walk threw a gate at the end which led in to a field that was shaped like a small valley with the Exodus army truck with decks in and a huge wall of speakers to the side of it slap bang in the middle of the small valley, there were a lot of people running round with wires and amps trying to get every thing wired up.

We stood around talking to people as we was doing so I could start to feel the E I had done start earlier start to come on then suddenly we could here the rig come on humming with some feed back , which made every body rush to in front of the decks and made me come up on my E a good one

Then the dj started the music and every one went mad jumping around and shouting wicked, sorted, yer. I cant remember what the first tune was but i do remember it being very loud.

The night seemed to go very quickly, when it got to about 10 in the morning a lot of people were starting to go back to there car and chill out. (We thought)

So we went to do the same looking forward to a fat spliff before having to drive back. Feeling dazed and a bit worse for ware we found the car and hung around. I could see a queue of cars waiting to get out of the field, so we asked some ravers next to us what was going on they said the police had blocked the entrance to the field up and aren't letting people in or out. 

Ummm this is a bit worrying it will be ok after another spliff we said and carried on smoking after a wile some guys came round all the cars saying get ready to leave. All the cars were starting to tern round and face the exit to the field then as we were wondering what was going on a small army tank on wheels came driving up the field with army truck with the rig on following it they drove strait up to the police blockade and slowly pushing the police cars out the way with it. wicked every one is now shouting at the old bill move your fucking cars and peeping there horns so with out much choice the police had to move out of the way letting the army trucks out and the rest of us raves. As we finally got out and drove of down the road a lot of cars had been pulled over by the police and being searched luckily we managed to get out of the area with out any trouble at tall.
